As a well-regarded
provider of software and services relating to the distributive trades, Kerridge
Commercial Systems (http://www.kerridgecs.com)
works hard to remain in regular touch with the wholesalers, distributors,
retailers and merchants that make up its present and prospective customer base.
The company's activities include holding events like its recent customer day,
at which it publicised its latest business
intelligence solutions in the company of more than 120 delegates.
The event, on 13th
June, consisted of an extensive programme covering new and enhanced products,
customer experiences and technological developments. Sales Director Duncan
Smillie introduced the event, providing an outline of the last year of company
operation before attentions were turned to current advancements and plans for
the future. The previous twelve months had seen recorded revenues of £25
million as a result of the work of the firm's over 200-strong workforce, which
equated to a good platform for further growth.
R&D Director,
David Liddle then spoke about the latest news concerning the company's product
integration and partner programmes. In doing so, he paid tribute to the
organisations providing technologies of great strategic importance to Kerridge
Commercial Systems, including Centerprise International, sales-i, Cognito, PHD
Mail and Atlas. A firm that has played an especially integral role in the
development of Kerridge Commercial Systems business
intelligence software is Oracle, with the K8 platform having become Oracle
Exadata accredited last January.
Indeed, K8 was at
the centre of much of the day's events, signifying its long-term primacy within
the company. On the morning, for example, speakers drew attention to the
various roles that the software can play as part of the complete efficient and
cost-effective solution for distributive firms. These roles include as warehouse
management software that allows for better control of goods and materials
movement and storage. Also mentioned was the impact of the recent acquisitions
by Kerridge Commercial Systems of TIS Software, Strategix and Smartpoint, with
the One Office software being rebranded as several K8 modules.
Also present were
Andy Saunders, Director at SMH Products, and the IT Director at Bathstore, Andy
Campbell, who spoke about the benefits that the platforms of Kerridge
Commercial Systems had brought to their businesses. The second half of the day
focused on the K8 Web
Builder software and K-Cloud, the latter solution allowing for the complete
outsourcing of a firm's IT systems.
The successful
Kerridge Commercial Systems (http://www.kerridgecs.com)
customer day was brought to an end with a focus on the recent progress of the
K8 system, in addition to the company's intentions to deliver customers with
new integrated solutions by building on its existing cloud
clouding software and mobile expertise.
